The settings are:
Verify Senders Domain in DNS: Disabled
Allow messages only from the following external internet adrreses/domains: mx1.ourdomain.com,imail.ourdomain.com
Deny messages from the following internet address/domains: <empty field>
I am not deliberately trying to deny mails from a <> null sender.
Below is a pasted mail that was rejected by the notes server, which went back to the imail server:
